My first post!

So for years my girlfriends have bugged me to start a blog and then one day a young talented artist helping me design a business logo said "you really should have a blog" and here I am!

I'm looking foward to writing about the projects i'm working on, just not right now, kids just woke up from a nap so it's time to sign off for now, but i promise more will follow.

my excessive rambling

I've come from a long line of strong, creative women and as a child learned to sew starting with my mom's extra scraps of fabric making clothes for dolls and made great progress as she taught me the basics and let me sew with her sewing machine.

Sewing has always been a source of great joy for me, rewarding and relaxing with little challenges along the way as I have personal expectations of perfection.

I don't consider myself to be a creative wonder as one who comes up with ideas and concepts out of nowhere but what I do thrive on is deconstructing items in my mind and figuring out the steps to recreate them.

Fabric might be my greatest source of inspiration, its often in the design and feel of fabric that ideas abound in my head. Contrast with in fabric and in fabric combinations is very important to me.

I'm a verbal processor and look forward to feedback from you too! I have so much to learn and I enjoy learning from others.
